Green Health Canada Inc. invites international professionals to join our Supply Chain Management (SCM) On-Job Training Program here in Canada whereby new management graduates have an opportunity to work alongside “the best of the best” in the field. Take your current knowledge base to the next level and prepare yourself to successfully meet the requirements of an ever changing business environment in the field of Supply Chain Management.

Supply Chain Management is defined as: “The design, planning, execution, control, and monitoring of supply chain activities with the objective of creating net value, building a competitive infrastructure, leveraging worldwide logistics, synchronizing supply with demand, and measuring performance globally” (APICS dictionary)

Operations Management is defined as: “ A field of study that focuses on the effective planning, scheduling, use, and control of a manufacturing or service organization that transform inputs into finished goods and services.” (APICS dictionary)

As a participant in this program you will have the opportunity during your time in Canada to sign up for and attend a selection of potential APICS courses (fee variable by course) such as the APICS (Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) program or on day courses offered from a series of Focus Workshop. The specific courses offered changes regularly depending student interest. At the time of starting the program you would be able to confirm what courses are being offered at that time.

Essential Responsibilities:

As part of the SCM On-Job Trainee you will be joining a fast paced environment as part of our partners'* SCM team. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals within the field of Supply Chain and Operations Management. You will be a part of their team, you will learn from the team and the team expects to learn from you as well!

In this role, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to); - Under partner's guidance, you will be working on a project that will consist of reviewing Site Risk Assessments (SRA), also known as Job Safety Analyses.

The assessments cover almost every activity on the site and will expose you to many Occupational Health & Safety Elements and how they are integrated within everything that our partners do.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a University program (MBA, Supply Chain, Operations Management…)
  • Senior year in an applicable program (last year or completed program)
  • Excellent MS Office Skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • A forward thinking and results oriented individual
  • English or French language** based on the Province the Co-Op is available: Level 7 or more in Canadian Bench Mark or 6 in IELTS)
  • List of partners will be provided upon request
  • Students that are not meeting language requirements will be enrolled in an English course in a Canadian University selected by GHC based on availability.

Period:Maximum of 4 Months

Fees: to be determined based on the industry and the period of the program

Visa: Is the responsibility of the trainee
